Dr. Erica Burger is an integrative psychiatrist and founder of Driftless Integrative Psychiatry, a small private practice psychiatry clinic in rural Northeast Iowa. Driftless Integrative Psychiatry will be accepting new patients starting in Summer 2021, offering both virtual and in-person visits to individuals living in IA, MN, or WI.
She has sought out additional training in nutritional psychiatry as well as other evidence based non-pharmaceutical treatment options including supplements, lifestyle changes, botanicals, and therapy. She also prescribes medications. Her goal is to provide mental health care that is individualized, heart-centered, and inclusive.
In college, she studied sustainable agriculture and food policy, working on several organic farms. She started pursing medicine once she realized that human health is innately interconnected with soil and land health – and she really enjoyed directly helping people! She graduated from her psychiatry residency at Hennepin County Medical Center and obtained her Doctor of Osteopathy and Master of Public Health degrees from Des Moines University.
