What’s Up with Omega-3s?

I sat down this weekend with the Wall Street Journal’s Melinda Beck to discuss some of the conflicting information about Omega-3 fatty acids and their efficacy in preventing heart attacks (of focus in a recent meta-analysis published in the Journal of the American Medical Association). Rates of depression, bipolar disorder and postpartum depression are all lower in fish-eating populations, and Supplements with a high ratio of EPA to DHA appear to be most effective.
