Lights, Camera, Brain Food…

This week I got the opportunity to share recipes from Eat Complete with the good folks over at Good Day NY, and The Daily Meal. As you may know, Good Day NY is filmed live, and The Daily Meal is recorded live to tape.

Needless to say the pressure was on to produce dishes that both looked and tasted amazing in a very short window of time, all while smiling and making it look really easy. Well folks I’m happy to share that both segments went of without a hitch! When put to the test the dishes we prepared from Eat Complete were easy to make and looked fantastic…even under the pressure of bright lights and fast paced cameras documenting every step. And at the end of the day that is what I am most proud of this week, that the recipes I am sharing with you are not only good for your brain, but are also are really beautiful – delicious dishes that are really fun and easy to prepare. Hey, even a non-egg eater couldn’t resist taking a bite out of the frittata and she loved it!

Yes, the Quinoa – Mushroom Frittata with Fresh Herbs was a big hit on the set of Good Day NY. As were the Chocolate Spiced Truffles and the Berry Spinach Salad with Toasted Hazelnuts.

For The Daily Meal segment we made the frittata, as well as the Truffled Farm Eggs with Wilted Watercress and Smoked Salmon, the Deviled Green Eggs with Roasted Red Pepper and Capers, the Minty Blueberry Shake, and one of my personal favorites…the Rocket Pie. Yum! I am including a link to the Good Day NY segment here for you to view, and will share The Daily Meal segment as soon as it is up and ready.
